Emma and Grant first met in the Moody Library at Baylor University. She was studying hard for two tests, while Grant was somewhat less focused on his work. Emma told him to stop making jokes and do his homework. It was in that moment he knew that she was *something*. Over the next few weeks, Grant and Emma hung out every single day. By month's end, Grant asked Emma to be his girlfriend on April 25, 2017 with Wendy's fries and Frosty's.

After two years of dating, Emma and Grant began a long-distance relationship and discovered the ins and outs of a college relationship. Emma moved back home to Dallas. Grant visited every couple weeks, making the drive to come stay with her family and hang out. Soon after Emma's move, Grant took the opportunity to study abroad in New York and Spain. This is where their little "college" relationship was put to the test.

Fast forward a teeeny bit more ... Grant has graduated Baylor University and Emma is a semester out from graduating. There were multiple conversations about how we take our relationship to the next level and plan for the next steps in our lives. We decided to have Grant move to Dallas and start his Master's from SMU. During this short time, Grant and Emma adopted a puppy and Emma received a job offer in Houston.

They juggled night shift, being new puppy parents, Emma going back to school to become a nurse practitioner, and all the joys of newly living together for two whole years. During this time, Emma and Grant weighed the possibility of getting engaged and being together forever.

He proposed and she said "YES!"

Emma and Grant moved back to Dallas early 2023. Emma is unfortunately still in NP school (struggling everyday), while Grant works from home. They both are anxiously waiting to finally be married!
